Mission
“To enhance the quality of life for persons who are frail aged, younger with a disability and their carers, through effective, flexible and supportive community initiatives and services which promote independence and wellbeing”.
NECC aims to maintain the quality of life of our clients, by supporting their choice to remain living in their own homes for as long as possible and by assisting their families and caregivers to facilitate this. Alternatively, without support, many of our clients would be placed into residential facilities permanently.
Philosophy : Self Determination and Quality of Life
- Every person is unique
- Every person has intrinsic dignity and worth
- Every person can make choices about their life
- People have diverse abilities / strengths for participation
- People are essentially social and spiritual beings
- People shape and are shaped by their environments
- People are active participants - our clients direct and guide the processes of goal setting, planning and evaluation
